Coco's Bistro, Kuta Bali Indonesia

Coco's Bistro is located inside Discovery Shopping Mall, facing the beach. It's just next to the sports restaurant.

We had lunch here and when we 1st went in there isn't anyone in there but it did not take long for the crowd to come in.The restaurant has a calming decor and it's very relaxing as well. The staff are very friendly. '

I've ordered a Detox drink (mint, lime, sugar, something else topped with soda 23KRP) and Craig had a pineapple juice(19KRP).

Since this is my 1st proper meal in a local restaurant I have to try the Nasi Goreng (42KRP)and Craig, as usual is always drawn to the Hawaiian pizza(56KRP).
The Coco's Nasi Goreng was a huge portion and very delicious. It's slightly spicy as well. The pizza doesn't seem to gain Craig's tick(think the base is too thin)

We didn't hang around too much after our mains, way too much to have desserts too. The staff asked if we can fill up a survey for them and it easily got all ticks from me.

Little Italy, Kuta Bali Indonesia

We tried this restaurant called Little Italy in Bali since we are just next to it. It also has good reviews on the internet. This place is located just next to Kuta Square(next to McDonalds).

It was great marketing for the staff to offer free tasting of pizza at the entrance, there's also security checks before heading up to the restaurant. There isn't much people in the restaurant. I find the music just a little on the loud side. the waiter (seems like he's the main or head waiter) who serves us was very enthusiastic and was recommending (felt like pushing after the 3rd time) and suggesting options for us. Going with his suggestion, i'ved tried the Little Italy mocktail and my partner had the pineapple juice. both (35KRP)yum (a little too sweet for me for mine)

I saw Alio Olio (60K RP) and immediately decided i wanted this. It's one of my favorite but it's hard to get it right for such a simple dish. Craig had the Hawaiian pizza(75KRP).

My pasta was great for the 1st 3 mouthful and after that , it's too salty and too spicy. my tongue and lips are burning halfway through the meals. The pizza was also salty.

The waiter asked how's our meals and we told him it's too salty, he just said yeah and was immediately suggesting desserts, more drinks more food. I'm not sure if he understand what salty means but after a salty spicy meal i was perspiring and just want to get out of the restaurant.

Food rating Worth getting fat for ? Not at all
Will I return back for more? Not really
Ambience? Wonderful if music is turned down alittle bit more

Lemon Grass, Kuta Bali Indonesia

Stop in this restaurant called Lemon Grass for a coffee break after all the walking since it says they are Bali's best coffee. They specialised in Thai cuisine.

Ordered an ice-coffee (it's too hot) and thought I would get a free banana cake. Ice coffee was nice.

Craig ordered a chocolate milkshake which he finished in 10 seconds.

We asked why we didn't get a free banana cake like what the banner says and the guy said it's only for hot coffee and then asked if Craig had ordered anything (and we said yes because his drink hasn't come yet).He then asked repeatedly if we want a cake and I said I don't really care, i was only asking because the banner said so, and he asked again if I would like a cake and I said no (I wasn't hungry) and he asked again, so I said yes to make him stop asking. The banana cake(one small slice) was pretty nice but very hot(must have put it in the microwave for too long).

It's a good spot to sit around and walk the traffic/people go past.

Food rating Worth getting fat for ? Only had coffee and milkshake
Will I return back for more? Yeah for ice coffee again
Ambience? Looks nice
Customer Service? Overly friendly owner/manager.

OpenPau, Kuta Bali Indonesia

Saw this restaurant on our way to Carrefour. We pop in for a quick bite since we are hungry and it's past lunch time. There's no one in the restaurant at all probably because it's 3pm!!

The waitress who served us doesn't speak much English so we just point at the food we want.. Order some Dim Sum (Siew Mai, Chicken Spring Rolls and BBQ Chicken Buns, don't think there's pork in this place). I've also ordered some fried rice (Nasi Goreng). All up about 10,000RP including 2 juices (Guava and Mango)

Welcome soup
